The Oceania Equestrian Federation’s (OEF) logo was released today by its founding members Equestrian Australia (EA) and Equestrian Sports New Zealand (ESNZ).

The brand mark reveals a sleek, modern and fresh approach using the colours of land, sea and sky and a stylised horse head derived from Polynesian tattoo shapes and ocean waves bound together by the O of Oceania. Navy, sky blue and green have been used as a modern interpretation of the colours of Oceania.

OEF President Chris Hodson, also President of ESNZ, welcomed the new look which was an important step in the development of the OEF.

“The OEF has been established to grow equestrian sports throughout our Oceania region and our new mark captures the essence of our new organisation.”

Equestrian Australia CEO Grant Baldock said it was important that the logo capture the elements of the Oceania region.

“While at this time EA and ESNZ are the first to sign on to the OEF, the intention is to grow the group to include countries from our wider region.”

The Oceania Equestrian Federation was established by Australia and New Zealand in July 2013 and was accepted into membership of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) in November where it sits alongside three other continental associations - the European Equestrian Federation, the Pan-American Equestrian Confederation and the Asian Equestrian Federation.

The OEF exists to develop equestrian sports across Oceania, to raise the profile of competitions between Australia, New Zealand and other Pacific Island nations and to offer member nations an improved communication channel with the FEI.
