The Vijfhuizen based Dutch Grand Prix rider Tommie Visser has been submitted to the Dutch Olympic A-team following excellent results at international dressage competitions the past few months.
Dutch team trainer Wim Ernes promoted Visser from the B to the A-team after Tommie achieved his third A-team score at the 2014 CDI Vidauban.
Visser and his tall liver chestnut Dutch warmblood gelding Vingino (by Polansky x Variant) were also members of the winning Dutch team at the second Nations' cup leg in Vidauban. One week later he posted a score of 71.080% in the CDI 5* Grand Prix and 75.425% in the Kur in Vidauban.
The criterium for A-team promotion is three scores above 71% in the Grand Prix. One of those scores has to be achieved at the CDI 3* or higher.
The soon to be 30-year old Visser is a former student of Anky van Grunsven, but he has recently been training with Dutch reining rider Rieky Burgmeijer-Young.
