The Dutch Equestrian Federation (KNHS) announced today the new Technical Committees per discipline as part of their big re-organisation project of which the motto is "closer to the equestrian athlete."
The KNHS wants to make itself more accessible to equestrian athletes by reducing the amount of committees and by establishing a forum in which members can actively decide on the development of the sport.
The technical committees develop the organisation of each discipline on a technical level and consists of team trainers, a few experts and an independent chair. Their primary job is top sport but they will also advise the forums about improvement of the sport from the grassroots level upwards .
The Dutch Technical Committee for Dressage has only four members:
- Sanne Beijerman (chair)
- Wim Ernes (team trainer seniors and U25)
- Tineke Bartels (team trainer young riders, junioren and ponies)
- Mariette Sanders-van Gansewinkel (expert)
