2014 Bundeschampionate Qualifier

The 5 year old Fantango and the 6-year olds QC Flamboyant and Eviva were the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes at the regional shows in Lübeck, Haftenkamp and Prietzen. These local shows, with a big show jumping and dressage field, also held a small Bundeschampionate selection class; in Lübeck just for 5-year olds, in Haftenkamp and Prietzen solely for 6-year olds.

At the qualifier in Lubeck on 18 May 2014, Anna Sophie Fiebelkorn and Heidrun Messfeldt's Oldenburg stallion Fantango (by Fidertanz x Dream of Glory) topped the leader board with 8.20. The pair earned 8 for walk and trot, 9 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Mike Habermann and Gestut Eichengrund's Hanoverian stallion Sarotti Mocca Sahne (by Soliman de Hus x Lauries Crusador xx) were second with 8.0. They got 8 for trot, 7.5 for walk, 8.5 for canter and 8 for submission and general impression. The duo tied with Kim Sarah Kleis on the Hanoverian mare San Cloud's Lilly (by San Amour x Wolkenstein II). They got 8 for trot and canter, 8.5 for walk, 7.5 for submission and 8 for general impression.

The regional show in Haftenkamp hosted a 6-year old BuCha qualifier on 16 May 2014. Last year's 5-year old winner QC Flamboyant (by Fidertanz x De Niro) won the M-level test with 8.2. The bay Oldenburg is owned by Belgian Patrick d'eer and ridden by Marita Pundsack. Birgit Wellhausen-Henschke and the Hanoverian mare Blueberry (by Breitling x Weltmyer) were second with 8.0

A decent group of 6-year olds contested the M-level division at the qualifier in Prietzen, hosted at Julibellenhof on 25 May 2014. Danish Martin Christensen reigned supreme aboard Wolfgang Stritzke's Westfalian mare Eviva (by Estobar x Wolkenstein II) scoring 8.4. Kathleen Keller and Ilsemarie Peters' Hanoverian gelding Humperdnick (by Hotrat x Wie Weltmeyer) finished second with 8.1 tying with Wolfhard Witte on Quaterhall (by Quaterback x Donnerhall).

Danish Maria Anita Andersen tried to get the most out of her grumpy Oldenburg mare Loxana (by Diamond Hit) who had a sour expression in the traversal movements, pirouettes and one tempi, even though the quality is certainly there

Nikki Crisp presented Pasoa with a lovely, soft and steady contact in an open frame. The bright bay did get a bit deep and on the forehand in the piaffe but the pair produced solid work.

If you were to put Catherine Haddad and Hotmail's tests from Hagen and Rotterdam into a cocktail shaker, you would certainly get a 70%+ earning ride. The horse is improving slowly but steadily in Europe
