After two observation and selection trials at the Preis der Besten in Warendorf and the 2014 CDI Wiesbaden, the work group Youth Riders of the German Olympic Equestrian Committee (DOKR) has set up a final long list from which the German pony team will be picked.
The 2014 European Pony Championships take place in Millstreet, Ireland on 29 July - 3 August 2014 and the German team will be supported by team trainer Connie Endres
The long list is still quite comprehensive with only four riders cut from the previous version. The dropped riders are Liselott Marie Linsenhof, Jana Schlotter, Tabea Schroer and Anouk Wiemers.
The final long list still includes:
- Celine König - Daddy’s Daydream
- Nadine Krause - Danilo
- Luna Laabs - Dow Jones
- Maike Mende - Nobel Nagano and Desert Rose
- Lea Luise Nehls - De Long
- Raphael Netz - Schierensees Don’t do it
- Lana Raumanns - Den Ostriks Dailan
- Semmieke Rothenberger - Deinhard B and Golden Girl
- Kathrin Wacker - Moglie
German pony riders will have to prove final form at the 2014 CDI Vierzon (4 - 6 July) in France. As winner of the Preis der Besten and Wiesbaden trial, Semmieke Rothenberger has received a bye from competing there.
