2007 British European Championship team rider Anna Ross Davies has decided to retire her current Grand Prix horse Pegasus MK. The pair competed in the 2014 CDI Rotterdam Grand Prix on Wednesday 18 June 2014 but withdrew for the Special.

Pegasus MK is owned by Jane Sewell and is a 17-year old Dutch warmblood gelding by Elcaro x L.Ronald.

"Pegasus has really enjoyed the show at Rotterdam but Jane Sewell and I have decided to retire Pegasus from the international front line," Ross Davies explained. "He's 17 now and nice and sound which is how I've wanted to do it. He's had an amazing career, British teams including Aachen CDIO 70% at Olympia and been all over the world competing."

In 2009 Anna Ross Davies started competing him internationally at the Sunshine Tour for owner Nancy Bowles. Between 2009 and 2014 they pair showed at CDI's in Lipica, Saumur, Addington, Odense, Mechelen, Aachen and Doha. They were members of the British team that competed in the Nations' Cup at the 2013 CDIO Aachen.

In 2012 Pegasus MK came on the market but after some negotiation Ross Davies was able to keep the ride on the dark bay gelding when he sold to Jane Sewell.

"I'm very grateful to his former owner Peter Bowles who made it possible for me to keep him and to Jane for buying him. I owe MK everything. He owes me nothing. He will have a great time at a lower level with Jane and we would both love the very deserving Beth Bainbridge to ride a low key Grand Prix on him at some point. I dare say he will continue to try to bronc us off on a regular basis! If you could get 100% for heart ( and bucking) MK would have it."
