Queen Rubin (by Quadroneur x Rubin Royal x Kolibri) has been named champion of the 2014 German Sport Horse Elite Mare Championships held on Saturday 2 August 2014

Ninety-five 3 to 6-year old mares participated in the elite mare show.  Dr. Frank Klakow's Queen Rubin surfaced at the top of the ranking. Her grand dam produced the licensing champion Champ in Red as well as the licensed S-level stallion Lord Lindenau.

The reserve champion was the Trakehner mare Helene (by Kentucky x Fahnentrager x Fabian), bred by Pieter Smeets and owned by Antoinette Funck.

The best show jumping mare was the 3-year old Tramina (by Palmares x Lancer III x Duralin III), bred and owned by the Brandenburger state stud in Neustadt/Dosse.

Mares in the breeding federation of Brandenburg-Anhalt have the opportunity to particpate in the mare performance testing and mare shows up to the age of 6. They need a score of at least 7.0 in the mare performance test to became a state premium candidate.
