Fine Lady, Champion of the 2014 Hanoverian Elite Mare Show

The 3-year old black mare First Lady (by Furstenball x Donnerhall) was named champion of the 2014 Hanoverian Elite Mare Show at the Herwart von der Decken Show in Verden, Germany, on Wednesdag 6 August 2014.

After sweeping the 2014 Oldenburg elite mare show in Rastede with no less than five mares in the champion's ring, including the champion and reserve champion, the Oldenburg licensing champion stallion Furstenball (by Furst Heinrich x Donnerhall) continue to takes the German breeding world by storm, also dominating the Hanoverian breeding area with another champion and reserve champion mare in Verden!

Fine Lady, who is in-bred by Furstenball x Donnerhall, was named the Hanoverian champion mare. Bred by Heinz Schulze and owned by Rolf Peter Schulze, Fine Lady was praised for her modern type and impeccable movements.

The reserve champion mare was Fannie (by Furstenball x San Remo), bred by Wilfried Fiedler and owned by Gestut Fohlenhof.

A total of 63 dressage bred 3-year old Hanoverian mares had qualified for the Elite Mare Show in Verden. They were presented in seven groups and were assessed by Gerd Sosath, Konrad Böth, and Hanoverian breeding director Dr. Werner Schade.

Five mares were selected for the champions' ring of which two were sired by Furstenball. They were first and second.  The other three mares selected for the champion's ring were Fräulein (by Ampere x Desperados),  Denira von Worrenberg (by De Niro x Hohenstein), and Fleur    (by Floriscount x De Niro).

The best scoring half-blood mare was Liciella (by Likoto xx x Wenzel), bred and owned by Hinni Luhrs-Behnke.
