The 2014 European Breeding Event Finland helds its fifth edition in Ypaja, Finland on 23-24 August 2014. No less than 180 foals were entered to compete in this breed show.
The foal assessment committee of 6 included Annu Stenqvist and Camilla Simonsen who represented the Finnish warmblood studbook, Maren Schlender and Anna von Holten-Jungheit from the German Hanoverian Verband, and Evelyn Schlotmann and Tomas Rädel from the German Oldenburger Verband.
A total of 66 foals were presented. They were registered in five different studbooks (Finnish warmblood, Hannoveraner Verband, Oldenburger Verband, Rhineland and the Finnish pony studbook. Fifteen mares were inspected to be submitted to the Mare book inspection and five mares did a Mare Performance test for the Hanoverian or Oldenburg Association.
Saturday 23 August 2014 was succesful day for breeder Sanna Aalto from Ruokolahti, Finland. She bred the champion foal, an Oldenburg branded nameless filly (by Sezuan x Royal Classic x Belissimo M) as well as the reserve champion foal Cherygarden's For Dancing, branded Finnish warmblood and sired by Foundation x Rosentanz x Andiamo.
Sanna's mare Brooklyn (by Belissimo M x Rotspon) won the Get of Dam class with her foals by Royal Classic and Sezuan.
