French Grand Prix rider Julia Chevanne has reitred her number one Grand Prix horse Luciano from competition. Chevanne rode the 18-year old gelding in his final competition at the 2014 CDI Saumur on 26 - 28 September 2014.

Bred by Hermann Voiges, the Hanoverian gelding Luciano is born in 1996 and is by Le Beau out of Wanderkind (by Wandergesell x Waizertraum).

Chevanne started campaigning the chestnut gelding in France at Grand Prix level in September 2008, stepping into Calimucho's footsteps as his successor.

The pair competed internationally for six years but their career highlight came in 2013 when they became reserve French dressage Champions. In 2014 they were submitted to the French A-team, running for a WEG team spot.
