The Schwiebert family has acquired the 7-year old Holsteiner licensed stallion Catoo. The bay show jumping bred stallion has shown great aptitude for dressage and has been acquired by the Schwieberts.
The dark bay Catoo is bred by Thomas Petersen and Jörg Carstensen and is by Con Air out of Flair I (by Caletto I x Corporal x Roman).
Owned by the Holsteiner society, Catoo was trained and competed by Holsteiner's head dressage rider Markus Suchalla, who won 2011 Bundeschampionate with him when the stallion was 4 years old. At the 2012 Bundeschampionate he was 12th in the consolation finals.
Grand Prix rider Rainer Schwiebert and his junior rider daughter Franziska have acquired the sport rights to the stallion, while the Holsteiner society will retain the breeding rights. The Schwieberts also own the 3-year old Catoo offspring Catoo's Son.
Catoo will continue to be trained by Suchalla at his new independent base at Hof Hilliggrund.
