Sir Moritz became the highest-priced youngster at the 2014 Hanoverian November Auction in Verden, Germany, selling for 41,000 euro. A collection of 82 youngsters was offered on sale at the last auction in Verden of the year.
The average price for a horse at this auction was 13,531 euro.
Sir Moritz (by St. Moritz Junior x Dancier) (breeder: Erika Lütjen, Grasberg – exhibitor: Hof Kleemeyer GbR, Weyhe) was acquired by customers from Rhineland.
Argentinian buyers purchased the typey 3-year-old Florentina (by Fürst Romancier) for 33,000 euro.
The best selling jumper was Cartier (by Canstakko x Lafontaine). The 4-year-old gelding already confirmed his qualities in show jumping development classes. He was sold for 25,000 euro and will start his career in a training and show stable in Schleswig-Holstein.
The horses of the November Auction attracted the interest of potential customers from beyond German borders: Pepo Puch from Austria, silver medallist in the para dressage test at the World Equestrian Games in France, purchased a futurity prospect. And the Royal Canadian Mounted Police from Ottawa will also travel home with one black Hanoverian mare.
