Buckingham (by Bordeaux x Rousseau x Renville) will be travelling back to the site where he was discovered. The very skillful winner of the stallion performance test will be presented at the Althengstparade (stallion parade) on Saturday, November 22nd starting at 4:30 p.m. in the Oldenburg Horse Center Vechta. As a special highlight, his sire Bordeaux will show up personally in Vechta. Nearly 60 sires from famous stallion stations will be parading together in this year‘s exciting Althengstparade.
In Adelheidsdorf, Buckingham, who was licensed in Vechta, was awarded scores of 9.0 to 9.5 an unbelievable 15 times. In the end, Buckingham stood well above his competitors with a final score of 9.03 with emphasis on dressage and a weighted final score of 8.46. Landstallmeister Dr. Axel Brockmann from Lower Saxony’s State Stud in Celle, discovered this dancer at the Oldenburg Hengst-Tage in 2013. Buckingham’s sire Bordeaux, a Prix St. Georges winner, will also be shown at the Althengstparade.
Newcomers as well as trademark stallions who are famous in sport and breeding are always a magnet for the spectators at the Althengstparade. In an eventful program consisting of presentations of mare lines, the art of dressage and jumping demonstrations, you can see the favorites for the upcoming breeding season.
