The 11-year old Oldenburg gelding Di Sandro (by De Niro x Sandro x Grundstein) has been sold to Austrian junior rider Diana Porsche. Di Sandro was competed at international Grand Prix level by Uwe Schwanz.
Di Sandro is bred by Alfred Wilmhoff and was owned by Sabrina Kirschner. Under Uwe Schwanz, the dark bay gelding made his international Grand Prix break through this year.
Schwanz and Di Sandro won approximately 10 national competitions at Grand Prix level and finished third in the south German "Stars of Tomorrow" tour.
Di Sandro did three international shows this year with his debut at the CDI Donaueschingen, where he scored 67%. They won the Intermediaire II with 69.079%, placed third in the GP with 70.040% and in the Kur with 74.625% at the CDI-W Kaposvar in Hungary. At the CDI Munich Indoors last month they finished fourth in the GP (70.300%) and third in the Special (69.804%).
Austrian junior rider, who trains with Dieter Laugks near Munich, Germany, competed at the 2014 European Junior Riders Championships aboard the Hanoverian Eloy. She also owns her 2013 Austrian European Championships team horse Florencia.
"Diana can already ride all the Grand Prix movements with Florencia, who is learning the Grand Prix herself right now. We thought it would be perfect to find an experienced Grand Prix horse for Diana," coach Laugks told Eurodressage. "We hope he is the right partner for her to prepare carefully for the Under 25 tour."
