On 31 December 2014 the FEI published its latest version of the FEI Dressage Riders Ranking. While the top 10 is practically unchanged, major progress has been booked by two Belgian (Julie de Deken, Jeroen Devroe) and two Spanish riders (Morgan Barbançon, Beatriz Ferrer-Salat).
Following the 2014 CDI Mechelen, Belgian WEG team riders Jeroen Devroe and Julie de Deken booked major progress and became Top 100 ranked riders. Aboard the Belgian warmblood Eres DL (by Sir Lui x Balzflug), Devroe moved from 91st place to spot 57. With the Hessian licensed stallion Lucky Dance (by Lucky Lionell x Placido Sun), De Deken moved from place 110 to 76.
Spanish Olympic medalist Beatriz Ferrer-Salat took an equally big leap as De Deken. The Barcelona based rider and her Westfalian gelding Sir Radjah (by Sir Donnerhall I x Radjah Z). The pair moved from place 112 into the Top 100 on spot 78.
Fellow Spanish rider Morgan Barbançon probably made the biggest leap of all on the ranking, improving 35 spots, to land a place into the top 100. Aboard the Dutch warmblood mare Vitana V (by Donnerhall) she moved from spot 126 to the 91st place.
The biggest drop on the ranking came from German Isabell Werth on the Westfalian gelding El Santo (by Ehrentusch). The pair only competed internationally at the 2014 World Cup Finals in Lyon and in June 2014 in Munich, but haven't been out to a CDI show ever since. They dropped from 21st place to spot 94.
