Trakehner Stallions Chardonnay and Maizauber Passed Away

The Elite Trakehner licensed stallions Chardonnay and Maizauber passed away in February 2015.

Chardonnay was born in 1989 and became 26 years old and passed away at the beginning of February. He was bred by Erny Francke and reared by Hubertus Poll. Sired by Rockefeller x Mahon, the chestnut stallion was licensed in Neumunster in 1991 and finished 19th in the 1993 Stallion Performance Testing in Adelheidsdorf with an index of 106.41 points.  He was successful in Germany up to Intermediaire I level and became the reserve Bundeschampion as a youngster. He produced two licensed offspring: Alter Fritz and Cha-Cha-Cha.

The elite stallion Maizauber passed away at the respectable age of 30. He was bred by Georg Liedtke and sired by Bartholdy x Tannenberg. The chestnut sire stood at stud for no less than 24 years! He finished 18th in the 1988 Stallion Performance Testing in Adelheidsdorf with an index of 109.06 points. He was competed up to S-level and sired 7 licensed sons (Humanus, Amarant, Wolfsprinz, Bellini Go, Harlem Go, Bel Espace Go, Sturmklangand) and 10 State Premium Mares. His most successful offspring was international Grand Prix show jumper Humanus. Maizauber made a name for himself as a good type and movement producer. He was first owned by the breeder and sold in 1985 to the Swiss Christian Senn.
