Spanish Teams Selected for 2015 European Junior/Young Riders Championships

The Spanish Equestrian Federation has announced the teams that will represent Spain at the 2015 European Junior and Young Riders Championships to be held at Bernadette Brune's Domaine Equestre des Grand Pins in Vidauban, France, on 1 - 5 July 2015.

Following a series of selection trials with the competition in Madrid as final observation trial, Spanish team trainer Nicky Barrett and Dressage Director Luis Lucio were able to pick the following teams for Vidauban

Junior Riders:

  • Anna Comas - Furstenau, a 12-year old Westfalian by Furst Piccolo
  • Roger Comas - Fidergold, a 14-year old Westfalian by Fidermark
  • Juan Matute - Dhannie, an 8-year old Hanoverian by Don Crusador
  • Alfonso Ramirez - Delhi, a 12-year old Spanish sport horse by Tenor de la Cour

The junior team reserve is Lluis Femenias on Luna d'Alo

Young Riders:

  • María Igualador - Red Diamond, an 11-year old Oldenburg by Rhodes Scholar
  • Sofia Pachon - Dacapo, a 12-year old Rhinelander by De Niro
  • Kevin Roegele - Wieske, a 12-year old Dutch warmblood by Obelisk
  • Cristina Torrent - De Vic, a 14-year old Spanish sport horse by Chagal

The young riders team reserve is Ana Roca on Santa Fe

Vidauban will also be hosting the inaugural 2015 European Children's Championships to which Spain will also send a team.

Children Team

  • Agustín Garcia Garrido - Kukilein
  • Katia Klimek - Omega Aifos
  • Ariadna Llabres - Rosenmontag
  • Gisela Salord - Stella

The children's reserve is Joan Llargues on Obvio
