Bernadette Brune's Domaine Equestre des Grands Pins in Vidauban, France, stops being a cherished show venue for national and international dressage competitions after the 2015 European Junior and Young Riders Championships in July.
Brune began hosting high profile 3 and 4* CDI competitions, as well as the World Dressage Masters, Nations' Cup legs and international show jumping events, at her yard in Vidauban in 2009.
With only limited support from sponsors, Brune staged each show with her own financial backing, creating unforgettable experiences for riders from all around the globe. Unfortunately showing at Vidauban seems have come to an end.
Brune has decided to quit with a bang as the 2015 European Junior and Young Riders Championships will be her last event on 1 - 5 July 2015.
"There will be no more shows after the Europeans," Brune told Eurodressage. "I want concentrate on my own show career. However, the arenas are still there, so if there is anyone who wants to rent them to organize shows I would be more than happy. I have a great, experienced team in place and they would also do a great job in the future. I can personally no longer cope with organizing shows and traveling around Europe competing my own horses."
Brune recently achieved two personal best score on her number one Grand Prix horse Spirit of the Age OLD at the CDI Wiesbaden, where she got 70.740% in the Grand Prix and 71.350% in the Special. She will be representing Germany at the 2015 CDIO Nations Cup in Rotterdam in two weeks.
