The Swedish website Dinapengar.se has listed Swedish young rider Marina Mattsson as the top earning Under 30 female in Sweden with a taxable income of approximately 650,000 euro in 2014.

Marina Mattsson won individual test and kur bronze at the 2015 European Young Riders Championships but has alread been competing at Grand Prix level since 2014.

The 21-year old Mattsson is a professional dressage rider and has been working for sponsor Patrik Hannell as head rider of his stable for several years. Marina is coached by Jan Brink.

Her 2013 Young Riders horse Cassio, whom she competed on the U25 circuit in 2014, was sold to Agnete Kirk Thinggaard, the daughter of Lego mogul Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen. As co-owner of Cassio, Mattsson cashed in big bucks through the sale, which explains her 2014 taxable income.

"I have fortunate to get this money through a good horse sale that my sponsor and I did," Marina told Dinapengar.se. "This kind of horse deal only comes once in a lifetime. I do not expect to make this money every year. This is not how it works."

The Falkenberg based Mattsson has bought a car with the money but keeps the rest invested in a fund for the future.
