The 3-year old bay mare Heavenly Brown has been proclaimed Trakehner Mare of the Year 2015 at the Trakehner Stallion Licensing in Neumunster on Saturday 17 October 2015.
Heavenly Brown is bred by Christian Röhl and is by Millennium out of Hermine (by Le Rouge). She is owned by Gestut Staffelde in Berlin, who bought her at the mare auction in Neumunster for 40,000 euro.
"She embodies the Trakehner type," said judge Claus Schridde. "But type is not all, also the movements are decisie and she got the top scores for that."
Heavenly Brown was the third ranked mare at the 2015 Trakehner Elite Mare Show in 2014 and now received the Trakehner Mare of the Year title. She is in foal to Schwarzgold.
The runner-up for the Trakehner Mare of the Year title was Arosa (by Kentucky x Gribaldi). She is bred by Peter Heinen and owned by Gestut F'Schloss Murtal in Austria. The Austrian stud farm also owned the third ranked mare Fleur (by Kentucky x Grafenstolz).
