Dutch Grand Prix rider Tommie Visser has reclaimed his spot on the Dutch A-team aboard Valentijn van Weeren's 13-year old KWPN gelding Vingino.
Visser and Vingino (by Polansky x Variant) first became members of the Dutch A-team in March 2014 after clear successes at the CDIO Vidauban.
Visser, however, lost the ride on the liver chestnut gelding due to a disagreement with the owner who wanted to sell the horse. The split became a soap opera fought out by lawyers after a shoot out took place and police got involved.
In April 2015 Visser got the ride back when the horse sold to Van Weeren, who had publicly claimed he had acquired the gelding as a schoolmaster for himself. The horse moved to Visser within days.
The duo returned to the international show ring at the 2015 CDI Compiegne in June (69.380% - 71.175%). They performed below par at the CDI Donaueschinge (65.780 - 62.235%) but returned to top scores at the CDI Lier (71.200% - 75.200%). Visser also collected A-team scores at some national shows in Holland over the summer.
The Dutch A-team now includes:
- Cornelissen, Adelinde - Parzival
- Gal, Edward - Undercover, Voice
- Gevers, Katja - Thriller
- Heijkoop, Danielle - Siro
- Minderhoud, Hans Peter - Johnson TN , Flirt
- Scholtens, Emmelie - Apache
- Silfhout, Diederik van - Arlando, Bonzanjo, Vorst D
- Visser, Tommi - Vingino
