Dutch team rider Patrick van der Meer has been resubmitted to the Dutch A-team with Zippo. After winning team gold at the 2015 European Championships in Augut 2015, Van der Meer lost his A-team spot as he sold his number one horse Uzzo.
It didn't take Van der Meer long to make it back on the A-team with his rising Grand Prix horse Zippo, a 12-year old KWPN gelding by Rousseau x Haarlem.
The Naaldwijk based dressage rider made his Grand Prix debut on Zippo at the 2013 CDI Roosendaal but his latest CDI results on the chestnut, achieved at the CDI Maastricht (72.28%) and CDI Lier (71.36%) in 2015 as well as a national score of 71.93% at the observation trial in Nieuw en St.Joosland promoted the combination back on the A-team.
The Dutch A-team currently includes Adelinde Cornelissen (Parzival), Edward Gal (Undercover, Voice), Katja Gevers (Thriller), Danielle Heijkoop (Siro), Patrick van der Meer (Zippo), Hans Peter Minderhou (Johnson, Flirt), Emmelie Scholtens (Apache), Diederik van Silfhout (Arlando, Bonzanjo, Vorst) and Tommie Visser (Vingino).
