Former German number one Grand Prix rider Helen Langehanenberg has made her return to the Grand Prix ring on the 14-year old Hanoverian stallion Damsey, on which she secured the ride in January.
Louise Leatherdale's 14-year old Hanoverian licensed stallion Damsey (by Dressage Royal x Rituel) was trained and competed at GP level by Steffen Frahm. When Frahm moved on to a new job at Hof Kasselmann, Jonny Hilberath continued the training of the stallion before Langehanenberg took over the ride.
The new pair made its show debut at a local event in Vreschen-Bokel on 27 March 2016 and won the Short Grand Prix with 72,713% and the Grand Prix with 75.533%.
Langehanenberg has two other rising Grand Prix horse which she has competed at the level in 2016. Aboard Margit Eisner's Diamigo she rode the Short Grand Prix at the Ankum indoor event in January and finished second. The 9-year old Oldenburg gelding by Dimaggio x Freudenprinz was also shown in Vreschen-Bokel in the Inter II and won the class. Aboard Iris Lupertz' 10-year old Hanoverian mare Love Light (by Laudabilis x Rotspon) she was second in the Inter II.
