Davis, Vaughn, Uhlir, Keasler Receive USEF Developing Dressage Program Competition and Training Grants

Barbara Davis, Genay Vaughn, Ayden Uhlir and Sierra Keasler are the recipients of 2016 USEF Developing Dressage Program Competition and Training Grants.

The grants are part of the program’s mission to build the depth of upcoming talented combinations in the U.S. The USEF Developing Dressage Program is led by Debbie McDonald and generously supported by Akiko Yamazaki.

Barbara "Bebe" Davis from Wellington, FL, has has received a European Competition Grant to compete Michael Davis' Equestricon’s Carrera, a 2000 Hungarian Warmblood mare, in Europe as part of the 2016 USEF Dressage Young Rider European Tour.

Davis and Equestricon’s Carrera will compete at CDI-U25 Compiegne, May 19-22 and CDI-U25 Rotterdam, June 22-26.

Three U.S. Under 25 riders have received Training Grants:

  • Genay Vaughn (Elk Grove, Calif.) with Starr Vaughn Equestrian, Inc.’s Donarweiss GGF, a 2001 Hanoverian stallion
  • Ayden Uhlir (Carlsbad, Calif.) with her own Sjapoer, a 1999 Dutch Warmblood gelding
  • Sierra Keasler (Wellington, Fla.) with Caroline Roffman’s Lux Stensvang, a 2002 Danish Warmblood gelding
