
Dutch born Kazachstan dressage rider Janette Bouman has lost her number one Grand Prix horse V Power to colic. The 14-year old gelding had recently sold to a Dutch rider.
V Power was born in 2002, bred by R. Roskam and was originally named Vasco. He was by metall out of Melissa (by Michelangelo x Goudsmid).
The 51-year old switched from the Dutch nationality to Kazachstan in 2009. She made her international Grand Prix debut on V Power at the 2012 CDI Drachten.
They represented Kazachstan at the 2014 World Equestrian Games the pair finished 52nd in the Grand Prix. One month later they competed at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, where they were 9th individually and 8th with the team. Their last show together was in September 2015 at the CDI Perl-Borg.
Bouman had recently sold V Power to a Dutch rider. V Power suffered from a severe colic attack and was successfully operated on, but succumbed to it later on.
