Italian junior rider Alice Campanella has received the ride on the Grand Prix schoolmaster Stallone, who was previously competed for Ukraine by Inna Logutenkova and Alisa Kovanko.

The 16-year old Alice and Stallone made their show debut at a regional competition in The Netherlands on 3 June 2016. They placed second in the Under 25 class with 60.10% and landed a seventh spot in the Grand Prix.

"This was our first national competition here in The Netherlands," said Alice. "I'm so happy and proud that I had the chance to compete in the Under 25 when I'm only 16. I'm still at pony age."

Alice and her mom Anna Paprocka-Campanella, who is an Italian Grand Prix rider and member of the FEI Dressage Committee, recently relocated from Italy to The Netherlands. They are currenty based in Erp, The Netherlands.

Stallone is a 17-year old Dutch warmblood gelding bred by J.J. Keuninx. The bay is by Lancet out of Cera (by Symfonie). In 2011 the Ukrainian VIAN group, sponsor of Ukrainien Grand Prix rider Inna Logutenkova, acquired the horse as a schoolmaster from Equestrian International B.V., the horse dealing company of Sjef Janssen and Anky van Grunsven.

Logutenkova and Stallone made their international Grand Prix debut in October 2011 at the CDI Zhashkiv. Their first career highlight was competing at the 2013 World Cup Finals in Gothenburg, where they finished 14th. They also represented Ukraine at the 2013 European Championships in Herning, Denmark, and finished 44th in the Grand Prix. In March 2014 Ukrainian Alisa Kovanko took over the ride. They qualified for the 2015 European Championships in Aachen last summer, but were eliminated from the Grand Prix after the horse knocked himself in the test and drew blood on his hind leg.

Stallone has not been competed internationally since then, but in December the contact was made between VIAN and Campanella to secure the experienced schoolmaster for Alice as a Grand Prix professor.

"We met in Roosendaal last year in December, so we organised everything there," Anna Campenalla told Eurodressage. "Till now Alice did not compete him, because she had exams at the international school."
