The Trakehner licensed stallion Induc has passed away in May at age 26. He was owned by Dane Sören Nissen, but standing in the U.S.A. for the past 10 years.
Induc was born in 1990 and bred by Bettina Bieschewski. He was by Marduc out of State premium mare Iris XIII (by Ibikus x Flugsand x Humboldt).
He became the reserve champion of the 1992 Trakehner Stallion Licensing. He completed his 100-day Stallion Performance Testing in Adelheidsdorf and scored a moderate index of only 99,12 points due to a poor jumping round (73.55 points) but a good dressage round (126.33 pts - 3rd best score). He finished 31st overall out of 53 participating stallions.
Under Hans-Jurgen Armbust the grey stallion won the 1994 Bundeschampionate after being test ridden by Rudolf Zeilinger and Bettina Overesch. He competed only one year in Germany. The grey was briefly trained by Kyra Kyrklund but he was focused more on breeding than sport.
Induc mainly stood at stud in Denmark and bred only moderately in Germany. He has 48 daughters registered as broodmares in Germany. Five of them are state premium. He sired no licensed sons in Germany. Induc was leased and imported by Bob Turner into the US in 2004.
Induc's most successful offspring in sport in the 1996 born Danish warmblood Seduc who competed at Grand Prix level under Anne Troensegaard. Induc proved himself most as a dam sire with licensed grandsons Helium (by Millennium) and Pommard (by Goldschmidt).
