The German Equestrian Federation has announced the horse-and-rider combinations that will be representing German horse breeding at the 2016 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Ermelo, The Netherlands, on 29 - 31 July 2016.
Germany held its second of two observation and selection trials at the DOKR headquarters in Warendorf, Germany, on 29 June 2016.
The German selectors picked the following horses for Ermelo
5-year olds
- Baccardi, Westfalian stallion by Belissimo M – De Niro (Rider: Claudia Rüscher)
- Fürsten-Look, Hanoverian stallion by Fürstenball – Londonderry (Isabel Freese)
- Lightning C, Hanoverian stallion by Lorenzio – Florencio I (Hermann Burger)
- Lordswood Dancing Diamond, Hanoverian gelding by Dancier – Wolkenstein II (Anne-Kathrin Pohlmeier)
- First Ampere, Hanoverian stallion by Ampere – Weltruhm (Tessa Frank)
- Sir Skyfall, Oldenburger stallion by Sandro Hit – K2 (Frederic Wandres)
- Victoria’s Secret, Rhinelander mare by Vitalis – Fidermark (Beatrice Buchwald).
The first reserve is Katrin Burger on the Oldenburg stallion Santo Dottore OLD (by Sir Donnerhall x Rubinstein). The second reserve is Isabel Freese on the Oldenburg mare Special Diva OLD (by Sir Donnerhall x Diamond Hit), the third reserve is Helen Langehanenberg on the Westfalian gelding Frank Sinatra (by Fidertanz – Louis le Bon).
6-year olds
- Bluetooth, Oldenburger gelding by Bordeaux – Riccione (Steffen Frahm)
- Bohemian, Westfalian stallion by Bordeaux – Samarant (Katrine Kraglund)
- Damon's classic, Westfalian gelding by Damon Hill (Heiner Schiergen)
- Deluxe, Rhinelander mare by Don Primus – Wolkentanz II (Laura Blackert)
- Goldmond, Trakehner gelding by Imperio – Latimer (Birgit Hild)
- Rock Forever II, Westfalian stallion by Rockwell – Landstreicher (Ann-Kathrin Wilting)
- Sir Olli, Oldenburger stallion by Sir Donnerhall I – Florestan I (Ann-Christin Wienkamp).
The first reserve is Anja Wilimzig on the Westfalian stallion Flavis (by Flanagan - Ehrentusch), the second reserve is Lena Stegemann on the Oldenburg gelding Don Toyamo (by Don Romantic – Sandro Hit).
