Kristian von Krusenstierna's top Grand Prix horse Languedoc has been injured and will be off from competition for several months. The dark bay gelding has sustained a tendon injury.
The 13-year old Westfalian gelding Languedoc (by Laomedon x Francisco) is bred by Magdalene Höfer and owned by Bo Eriksson. He last competed at the 2016 CDIO Aachen, where he reached the Grand Prix Special.
One week ago, Swedish Grand Prix rider Von Krusenstierna noticed their was something wrong with "Dokki". The gelding sustained a tendon injury in his left front leg.
"My feeling in Aachen last weekend that not everything was 100% alright with Dokki proved to be a tendon," said Von Krusenstierna. "Now it will be healing and rehabilitation for a few months. This is so annoying but it is important that he gets well."
