Demario W, Price Highlight of the 2016 Prinsjesdag KWPN Foal Auction

The colt Demario W (by Desperados x Painted Black x Donnerhall) became the price highlight of the dressage collection of the 2016 Prinsjesdag KWPN Foal Auction on Wednesday 14 September 2016.

Swede Carsten Johansen of 2M2 Horses acquired Demario W by getting the highest bid of 40,000 euro over the phone.  The colt is bred by Benny Wezenberg.

The second most expensive foal was Louis XIV Sollenburg which sold to a Dutch client for 32,000 euro. This colt is by For Romance out of Grand Prix mare Astrid Sollenburg (by OO Seven x Metall).

The Belgian bred KWPN filly La Belle van de Moerhoek (by Governor x De Niro) sold for 28,000 euro. Colts Lewis Utopia (by Johnson x Metall) and Landal G (by Ghandi x Rousseau) both sold for 26,000 euro. Filly Lafurstinels (by All at Once x Hotline) sold for 24,000 euro. Filly Laguna van de Westen (by Johnson x Rousseau) cracked the 20,000 marker.

Colt Let's Go Win (by Grand Galaxy Win x Krack C) switched owners for 18,000 euro, just like colt L.A. Zonik L (by Zonik x Goodtimes) and filly Lirava (by Capri Sonne x Scandic).

Colt Legend (by Florencio x Jazz) and filly Lanzarote (by Dream Boy x Jazz) got knocked down for 17,000 euro. Colt Limited Edition (by Furst William x Gribaldi) moves to a new yard for 14,000 euro.

Colts Lamborghini (by Johnson x Stedinger), Lorence de Jeu (by Glamourdale x Jazz), Loco K (by Glamourdale x Rousseau) and filly Luresia WD (by Charmeur x Krack C) all sold for 11,000 euro

Remarkably all top selling foals at this auction all had German blood in the pedigree. The average price for a dressage foal at this auction was 11,300 euro.
