The Oldenburg licensed breeding stallion Furstenball has been proclaimed elite sire with the Danish Warmblood society.

On 6 October 2016 the Danish Warmblood society approved the addition of five new stallions to the list of elite sires, which now counts 70 in total. The five new elite sires are Furstenball, alongside four show jumping stallions (Carson, Volstrups Casillas, Ci Ci Senjor, Favorit).

The 10-year old Furstenball is bred by Georg Sieverding and owned by German Paul Schockemohle in partnership with Danish Lone Boegh Henriksen.  He is by Furst Heinrich out of Maradonna (by Donnerhall x Classiker).

As a foal Furstenball sold for the record price of 120,000 euro at the 2006 Vechta Foal auction. He was Oldenburg licensing champion in Vechta two years later and the winner of the 70-day Stallion Performance Test in 2009 with the highest overall score and dressage index. Under Ines Westendarp he won the 2011 Oldenburg Regional Championships in Rastede, the 2011 Bundeschampionate  in Warendorf and was a finallist at the 2011 World Young Horse Championships in Verden. In 2013 Westendarp and Furstenball made their S-level show debut but in December 2014 the horse moved into training with Isabel Bache and was never shown again.

Furstenball sired numerous successful young horse offspring on which he earned his elite status. Successful get include Fursten-Look, Flora di Mariposa, Fiesta Danza OLD, Fashion Make, and Fame W amongst others.
