
Portuguese Grand Prix rider Raquel Falcao has retired her top Grand Prix horse Real from sport. The pair rode their last competition class, the kur to music, on Sunday 23 October 2016 at the 2016 Portuguese Dressage Championships.
Real is an 18-year old Lusitano bred by Guilherme Borda and sired by Hostil out of Noreza (by Xaquiro).
Under Raquel Ribeiro Silva Falcao made its international Grand Prix debut at a late point in his career, at age 16, at the 2015 CDI Madrid. They competed at the internationals in Biarritz, Jerez, Barcelona, Vilamour and Segovia. Their career highlight was winning the Grand Prix at the 2015 CDI Vilamoura with 67.920%. Their highest technical achieved at a CDI was 69.594%.
At the Portuguese Championships they were fourth in 2013, fifth in 2014, fourth in 2015, and eight in 2016.
