Weltino's Magic, one of America's most successful and highest scoring small tour horses ever, has undergone two emergencey colic surgeries and is still fighting for his life.

Weltino's Magic is a 14-year old Westfalian gelding by Weltino out of Diva (by Diamond Boy). He is bred by Willi Holter and owned by Bruce and Jen Hlavacek.

Under Steffen Peters the dark bay gelding was the U.S. team anchor at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, where the pair won team and individual gold.

In 2012 and 2013 the horse was competed by young rider Brandi Roenick, who won individual and kur to music gold at the 2012 North American Young Riders Championships. After a break from international showing in 2014, Shannon Peters brought the gelding back to the CDI ring at Grand Prix level in 2015. In 2016 Canadian young rider Ehren Volk took over the ride and competed him at the CDI-YR's in Burbank and Del Mar.

On 2 November 2016, Weltino's Magic had to undergo two colic surgeries in a 24-hour span. "He made it through last night," a very worried Shannon Peters told Eurodressage. "Hoping for good news this morning."
