Hanoverian Breeding News

The 10-year old Danish bred Hanoverian licensed breeding stallion Dannebrog has been sold David Burke's Pangea Farms in Marmora, ON, Canada.

Bred by the Switzerland based Danish Dorthe Jeppesen, the liver chestnut Dannebrog is by Don Schufro  out of SPS Byzantina (by Brentano II x Arogno x Schwalbenfreund).

He was licensed at the 2009 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing in Verden and acquired by the Celle state stud. He completed his 300-day Stallion Performance Testing in Adelheidsdorf in 2010. He scored a dressage index of 135.74 points and 84.63 points for show jumping, to total 122.99 points and finish fourth out of 30 participating stallions.

Remarkably Dannebrog has never been competing in sport!

As a breeding stallion, he has so far produced 2 licensed sons (Donaldson, De Bruyne). Thirty-two of his daughter are registered in Germany as a brood mare, four of they are state premium.

Dannebrog has safely arrived in Canada to join the licensed Hanoverian stallion Harvard (by Hohenstein x Cardinal xx) as stable mate.
