Jochen Kienbaum has been elected the new chair of the German Top Horse Sport Foundation, which was founded four years ago to maintain and develop Germany's status as a horse sport nation.
The 70-year old Jochen Kienbaum is succeeding Jürgen Thumann as chair of the foundation. He was elected at a special assembly in Dusseldorf.
Business entrepreneur Jochen Kienbaum is father to multiple German youth team rider Florine Kienbaum, who won team gold and individual and Kur silver medalist at the 2016 European Under 25 Championships in Hagen.
Gina Capellmann-Lutkemeier was elected vice chair, and Hendrik Snoek as well as FN president Breido zu Rantzau joined the board. The discipline of para dressage has been added to the scope of the foundation.
