Viva Jane became the best selling foal at the the International Foal Auction held during the 2017 Flanders Dressage Event - Belgian Dressage Championships - in Meerdonk, Belgium, on Saturday 29 July 2017.
The collection included 25 foals of which two were pony foals. Fifteen of the 23 sport horse foals were Belgian warmblood registered. Twenty of them sold but several were bought back by the owners.
Viva Jane (by Vitalis x San Amour) became the top seller achieving a knock down price of 12,000 euro. This stunning filly is bred out of Calamity Jane, the champion of the 2013 Oldenburg Elite Mare Show in Rastede.
The second most expensive foals at this auction were filly Rianta van de Kempenhoeve (by Indian Rock x Quaterback) and Rendes VDM (by Furstenball x Krack C). Both sold for 8,500 euro.
Riskey M, by Dante Weltino out of Simon Missiaen's retired Grand Prix horse Vradin (by Gribaldi) sold to The Netherlands.
The organisation did not release the complete price list, nor the average price of the foals at this auction.
