The 11-year old Dutch warmblood gelding Bon-Ami, a Swedish short listed team horse, has been sold to the U.S.A.. Adrienne Pot will continue the career of the black gelding.

Bon-Ami is bred by G. Nijhof in The Netherlands and is by Johnson out of Tavella (by Fidermark).

Originally owned by Philippa Ral of Frösaker Gard in Sweden, the gelding was competed up to small tour level by his owner from 2011 till 2016.

Bon Ami moved to Germany in October 2016 and Malin Nilsson, an assistant trainer for Patrik Kittel,  took on the ride.  The gelding came into the international spotlight in 2017.

The new pair made its CDI debut in April at the CDI Nieuw en St. Joosland, winning the Grand Prix and Special with 73.360% and 72.078%.  The duo went on to win the Grand Prix and Special at the CDI Brno.

As the combination had drawn the attention of the Swedish Grand Prix team selectors, they got the chance to compete at the CDIO Aachen, where they were 19th in the Grand Prix (70.557%), 11th in the Special (72.294%) and 16th in the Kur to Music (72.450%). They were named reserves for the Swedish team for the 2017 European Championships in Gothenburg.

Bon-Ami has now been sold to Elizabeth and James Bramsen and will be ridden by Grand Prix rider Adrienne Pot. The Illinois based Bramsens also own Pot's number one Grand Prix horse Something Special C (by Ferro x Beaujolais). Adrienne is based in Barrilington Hills, ILL, and spends her winters in Wellington, Florida.
