Swiss dressage rider Stefanie Leuenberger has two new stallions to ride as Trakehner sires Hopkins and Herzog von Nassau have moved to Gestut Letter Berg in Coesfeld, Germany, where she is based as its resident head rider.

Hopkins is a 7-year old stallion by Hofrat x Artistic Rock and owned by the Swiss Antoinette Funck The grey was previously competed by Lydia Camp, who won the 2016 Trakehner Championships on him in the 5-year old division. In 2017 they were third at the Trakehner Championships.

Herzog von Nassau is a 15-year old by Distelzar x Fähnentrager and owned by Uwe Widelny. He was previously competed by Nadine Rüdiger and Agate Gielarik, but the stallion did his last show no less than 7 years ago in 2010 at A-level when he was a 7-year old.

"i have the great luck to ride these two beautiful stallions," Stefanie told Eurodressage. " You will be able to watch the stallions at the show in Münster-Handorf. Further, nothing is planned yet."

Herzog von Nassau arrived at Letter Berg in December, Hopkins will move into his new barn next Sunday.

Leuenberger used to train with Hans Staub and Gilles Ngovan in Switzerland. There she competed Grand Prix horse Well Done de la Roche CMF as a 4 and 5-year old.

Stefanie moved to Gestut Letter Berg in Germany two years ago. She rode the Bundeschampionate with Statement (by Oliver Twist) and her two top rides at the moment are the rising small tour horses Indora V (by Instertanz) and Inlana V (by Instertanz).
