The Bavarian based young Grand Prix rider Anna-Magdalena Schessl has received the ride on Sissy Max-Theurer's 14-year old Westfalian bred Biedermeier.

Biedermeier is a 2004 born Westfalian, bred by Heinrich Sauer. He is by Belissimo M out of Rubina (by Rubinstein I x Weltmeyer x Parademarsch I).

He was licensed at the 2006 Westfalian Stallion Licensing and did his 30-day stallion performance test in Schlieckau in 2008. No offspring by him has been registered for sport with the German Equestrian federation.

Biedermeier was focused on sport and first competed in 2007 by Ilka Boening. She finished second with him at the 2007 Westfalian young horse championships and sixth at the 2006 Bundeschampionate. At the 2008 Westfalian YH Championships the pair was fourth. Sebastian Heinze briefly took over in 2009, followed by Carl Cuypers. In 2011 he reappeared once under German U25 rider Franziska Stiegelmeier but then returned home to Max-Theurer's yard in Austria, where Wibke Bruns took on the ride.

Bruns and Biedermeier competed at small tour level at CDI's in 2012 and 2013, they moved to the medium tour in 2014, and made their international Grand Prix debut in 2015. The pair's last CDI was in Achleiten in 2016, where they finished fourth in the Grand Prix (69.200%) and 6th in the Kur (72.050%).

Biedermeier has now become the ride of German Anna-Magdalene Schessl. The pair did their first show in Kreuth in December and have now qualified to participate in the 2018 German U25 Piaff Forderpreis selection trial taking place in Warendorf in February.

The Munich based Schessl previously competed the now 19-year old Hanoverian mare Donna Romana G (by Don Primero x Pik Bube I x Aktuell) at young rider's level.
