The German national Grand Prix rider Meike Lang has decided to leave her family business in Baden-Wurttemberg and relocate to Denmark as an assistant trainer at Helgstrand Dressage.
Meike Lang has no international experience, but is a highly successful young horse rider with numerous starts at the Bundeschampionate (ponies Branduardi M and Arts Dancer Boy, and horses Darwin, Lorena, Just Perfect, Fornsbacher, Lord Blackwood, Chakira, Lord Frodo, Caruso, etc.). She has also competed Heiko Graf's 14-year old Rhinelander Flatley (previously competed by Isabell Werth) at national Grand Prix level.
"I consider the switch to Helgstrand Dressage as an opportunity to further develop myself as a rider and to expand my horizons," Lang told Dressur Aktuell.
Lang has always been based at her parents' yard Gestüt Neuhaus in Murrhardt, Germany. She will begin working in Denmark as of 1 April 2018 and will take her two horses, Sorento Snorri (8yo, by San Amour x Feinbrand) and Lord Frodo (10yo, by Lord Loxley x Dr. Jackson D), with her.
