Seven colts were accepted to participate in the Stallion Performance Test at the 2018 KWPN Late Licensing held in Ermelo, The Netherlands, on 20 February 2018.
The late licensing is open to colts that were unable to participate in the first, second or third phase of the regular licensing this year due to veterinary reasons or who wanted to have a new chance after failing the first or second phase.
Five dressage bred colts were accepted, including Adelinde Cornelissen's already 8-year old Fleau de Baian (by Jazz x Ulft), who has been competing at small tour level. Because Fleau has already proven himself in sport, he will only have to undergo a 5-day character test in Ermelo to get licensed. Other approved dressage colts that were not yet presented before at the licensing are an All at Once x Westpoint, Karaat U.S. (by Bordeaux x Ferro), Kioto (by Governor x Negro).
The KWPN licensing committee at the late licensing is a different panel. Judges Ad Aarts, Marijke Kool and Augusta Lantsheer accepted the failed Kontender DSD (by Governor x Bretton Woods x Florencio), after he was rejected by the main licensing committee in the second phase.
Two jumper colts passes, a Baloubet du Rouet x Heartbreaker and an Emir R x Sam.
