Demand Wins 2018 Swedish Warmblood Stallion Performance Testing

Demand (by Ampere x Don Schufro) became the high scoring stallion in the 2018 Swedish Warmblood Stallion Performance Testing in Flyinge, Sweden, which concluded on 3 March 2018. 

Sixteen stallions in total passed the test, of which seven were dressage bred. Two 3 and 4-year olds and three 5-year olds were accepted.

The stallions are assessed on their confirmation, movement in hand and their performance, rideability and potential under saddle. On the final day two guest judge riders test ride the stallions for an additional score. This year's test riders were Theo Hanzon and Minna Telde.

The 4-year old Swedish warmblood bred Demand is bred and owned by Per-Arne Persson. He scored 9.0 for type and 8.5 for walk and trot in hand. Under saddle the stallion earned 8.5 for walk and trot and 9.0 for canter. The test riders gave him 9.0 and 8.5 for rideability. 

The other approved stallions are the 4-year old Dortheasmindes Rockey (by Rockefeller x Sam Sam), owned by Gunnarlunda Stallions and Paul Schockemohle's 3-year old Oldenburg registered Vivaldon (by Vivaldi x Diamond Hit)  as well as Paul's 3-year old Oldenburg bred Go First (by Fovernor x Furstenball). 

In the 5-year old division the licensing and performance test committee approved Elise Frederiksson's Swedish bred Americano GJ (by Black Coffee x Obelisk), Marita Strauch's Bergjoholms Valbonne (by Zach x Epson), and Madelene Engelke's Shizeido GJ (by Sezuan x Danzas).

Amanda Axtelius' KWPN bred Jardeaux (by Ferdeaux x Jazz), the Swedish bred Dantes Vincero GJ (by Dante Weltino x Chapman), Tullstorp's Epic (by Escolar x Furst Heinrich), Schockemohle's Donato (by De Niro x Totilas), Michelle Bedrup's Don Deesel (by Don Frederic x Dionysos), Malin Myrman's Faitful Boy (by Floricello x Highlander), Team Piaff's Tissot Tp (by Daily Deal x Donnerball) were not licensed.
