The Dutch equestrian federation (KNHS) has appointed Edwin Enzerink as the new Dutch dressage team veterinarian. He is succeeding Jan Greve, who is retiring from his position after 40 years on the job.
Enzerink was already working as the Dutch eventing team veterinarian, but he has now been asked to shift disciplines.
"After a discussion with the squad members of the dressage team, the name Edwin Enzerink was put forward," the KNHS press release read. "He only wanted to leave eventing if a good successor was found for that discipline. With the arrival of Leender Jan Hofland (as eventing team vet) both parties are in full confidence about their new jobs."
Enzerink is based in Asten-Heusden, The Netherlands, and is 48 years old. He has been working at the Someren equine clinic since 2000.
Kees Alblas is succeeding Gerrie de Crom as team farrier. Alblas is based in Kerkdriel, The Netherlands.
