Blue Hors stud, one of Denmark's leading stallion stations, has decided to put their three WFFS positive stallions back on the roster.
Blue Hors withdrew Londoner (by Londontime x Danone I x Sandro Hit), Veneziano (by Vivaldi x Donnerhall x Pik Bube I) and Emilio (by Escolar x Lauries Crusador xx x Hohenstein) from its breeding programme when these three stallions tested positive to the WFFS gene.
Breeding director Esben Moller has now decided to offer them again to mare owners on the condition that the mares are tested and negative to WFFS.
"The three stallions Emilio, the Londoner and Veneziano are now back in business again," Blue Hors reported. "We recommend mare owners to test their mare(s) on the WFFS gene and when the mare(s) turns out be carrier the mare not to cover with a stallion that is also carrier."
Blue Hors stud follows the same position as Glock Horse Performance Centre, whose Total U.S (by Totilas x Sir Donnerhall) has tested positive and is now only available for WFFS negative mares.
