German team gold medal winning pony rider Jana Lang will no longer be campaigning her top ride, NK Cyrill. The palomino stallion has returned home to his owner after a two year partnership with Lang. Melina Thelemann will become his new rider.
Cyrill is a 12-year old German Riding Pony stallion by Champion de Luxe x Power Boy. He is bred by Anja van Hoorn.
The palomino made his international show debut under his owner Nadine Krause in 2013 and represented Germany at the 2015 European Pony Championships where they won double individual silver. in 2016 Inga Katharina Schuster took him to the European Pony Championships in Vilhelmsborg and got silver in the individual test, but retired in the Kur.
Jana Lang began riding him in 2017 and represented Germany at the 2017 and 2018 European Pony Championships, winning team gold and two times individual test bronze.
It has been decided not to extend the partnership between the 15-year old Lang and Cyrill into Jana's last pony year in 2019. She will ride her own pony Nur Fur Dich as well as Rohlsdorfs Carribean Dream next year.
Cyrill has already found a new rider in the 14-year old Melina Thelemann, who lives 20 kilometers from Cyrill's home in Bad Homburg.
