French Grand Prix rider Alizee Froment, who is better known for her bitless dressage shows at exhitions and fairs, has decided to retire her top horse Mistral du Coussoul from shows.

Mistral do Coussoul is an 18-year old French bred Lusitano by Scapin RBO out of Gala des Menauts (by Alegre XIX SBM). He is bred and owned by Catherine Vaisse.

Froment made her international Grand Prix debut on Mistral at the 2011 CDI Vidauban and competed him at international GP level for six years in a row until 2015. In 2015 they competed at their one and only CDI, their last, in Mallorca.

Since then Froment has been riding Mistral at numerous exhibitions in Europe, stunning the crowds with their bitless performance and artistry.

On Friday 30 November 2018, Froment performed her last show with Mistral at the CDI Stockholm.

Froment has been based with her Belgian partner and entrepreneur Jan van Geet at Dressage Mala Skala, a beautiful estate near Prague, Czech Republic.

Froment will continue her shows with Sultan du Coussoul.
