The formerly licensed stallion Scuderia has made his show debut under German young rider Selina Söder.

Scuderia is an 11-year old Oldenburg gelding by Sir Donnerhall out of Esmiralda (by Escudo). He was bred in the U.K. by Nicola McGivern and Fiona James and is owned by Ingo Pape.

Scuderia was licensed as a breeding stallion in Vechta in March 2012 and approved for the Hanoverian society a year later.

He did his stallion performance test in Schlieckau in November 2012 and scored 8,93 for dressage and 6,83 for show jumping, finishing on a total of 8.2 which made him the top scorer of the testing.

Lena Stegemann first competed the stallion in 2012 in three riding horse tests. He was third at the 2012 Oldenburg Young Horse Championships in Rastede. Stegemann continued to show him lightly in 2013, but there were no shows in 2014. Scuderia was gelded in 2015 and as of that year Susan Pape climbed on board. Business partner Michael Klimke showed Scuderia twice in a CDI in Wellington, Florida in 2017, where Susan also showed him in some national classes that year.

In 2018 it was Elsa Maulet's turn in the saddle and she rode him at three shows at M-level. For the past six months of 2018 Scuderia was in training with Ann-Christin Wienkamp to be sold. Wienkamp successfully competed Scuderia at the 2019 CDN Munster Indoor.

Selina Söder, who is the daughter of the Bavarian minister president Markus Söder, has now taken on Scuderia for a trial period. The new pair made its show debut on Scuderia at the CDN Ankum on 18 - 19 January. She was third in M-level test on Saturday with 70.354% and won on Sunday with 71.716%

The soon to be 19-year old Söder comes from ponies, having competed at FEI pony level in Germany on Schapur. So far she rode in one CDI on her pony in Babenhausen in 2014.

Scuderia produced fifteen state premium mares and three licensed stallions in his breeding career: Sapperlot, Solo Con Giotto M, and Surealo.
