Lovsta Stuteri's 10-year old Swedish warmblood licensed stallion Sankt Erik II has been castrated.
Sankt Erik II is bred by Erik Stromqvist's Forty Invest AB and is by Johnson out of Weuchette (by Weltmeyer).
He became the 2013 Swedish warmblood stallion performance test winner.
Ida-Linn Lundholm competed him at the 2014 World Young Horse Championships in Verden and placed 10th in the consolation finals.
Soon afterwards he sold to Antonia Ax:son Johnson of Lovsta Stuteri as a future hopeful for Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfven.
The chestnut stallion was first ridden and competed by Tinne's assistant Carloine Darcourt, who took him to the 2015 World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo. They were 12th in the consolation finals. They won silver at the 2015 Swedish Young Horse Championships. One year later at the 2016 World Championships, they were eight in the consolation finals for 7-year olds. The pair made its international small tour debut two years later at the CDI Flyinge in September 2018 where they were fourth in the Prix St Georges and eighth in the Intermediaire I.
The owner has decided to geld Sankt Erik II because he was not very popular with the breeders.
"Despite his nice results there was no good interest in him as a stallion," said Ax:son Johnson. "We look forward to seeing his still young offspring in the three-year old tests and future shows. Sankt Erik II will now be able to devote himself full time to his sport career, instead of combining it with breeding. Sankt Erik II has great talent for the most difficult movements, which means that we believe a lot in him as a Grand Prix horse."
