Marion Schreuder became the recipient of the 2019 Wim Ernes Memorial Trophy. She received this distinction at the 2019 Dutch Dressage Championships in Ermelo, on 26 May 2019.
The Wim Ernes Memorial Trophy is an initiative of the organizers of the Dutch Championships and is annually given to a Dutch equestrian personality that has distinguished his/herself by cooperating and spreading knowledge.
Schreuderreceived a special statue from Maud Ernes, daughter of the deceased Wim Ernes, Paul Ernes, brother of Wim Ernes, and Maarten van der Heijden, technical director of the Dutch Equestrian Federation. Wim Ernes was Holland's leading 5* dressage judge as well as a KWPN stallion selector and team trainer before his untimely passing in 2016.
"Marion strengthens the education team at the KNHS since January 2018. She works intensively at the development and improvement of the educational and instructors' programme. Marion has much organisation and educational knowledge and experience which are a treasure trough for the further development of the instructors' training. Marion was the head instructor at the NHB in Deurne and has her own stable in Someren, where she taughts hundreds of students to be a instructors. She is also involved in the KNHS Talent Plan."
