Donbass, High Scorer of the 2019 Adelheidsdorf Autumn Suitability Test

Donbass became the high scoring stallion at the 14-day stallion suitability test held in Adelheidsdorf, Germany, from 11 till 24 September 2019. 

A mixed group of 25 dressage and show jumping bred stallions, of which the majority is born in 2016, participated.

Donbass (by Diarado x Juventus) is bred by Klaus-Peter Nüße and owned by the Redefin state stud. He scored 9.5 for character, 8 for walk, 7 for trot, 8.5 for canter, 9 for rideability, 10 for free jumping and 8.75 for rideability under the test rider. He totaled 9.60 for show jumping and 8.09 for dressage to finish on an average of 8.95 points. 

The Hanoverian show jumper Sixpack (by Schenkenberg x Calido) scored the second highest mark of 8.68 points. 

The best scoring dressage stallion was the 3-year old Hanoverian Rod Laver (by Rock Forever x Fidertanz x Weltmeyer) who scored a total of 8.40 points with 9.29 for dressage and 7.08 for show jumping. The stallion earned 9.5 for character, 9.5 for walk and canter, 8.5 for trot, 9.5 for rideability, 6 for free jumping and 9.75 for rideability under the test rider. 

The Rhinelander Escobello (by Escolar x Belissimo M), bred by Ferdinand Mayer, became the second best scoring dressage stallion with an overall total of 8.38 points He got 8.70 for dressage and 7.65 for show jumping. 

Other high scoring dressage stallions were Filou (by For Romance) with 8.35 points and Vasari (by Vivaldi) with 8.20 points. 

Two stallions failed the testing: Bernay Blanc (by Bernay) with a total of 6.78 points and Fridolin Farbenfroh (by For Romance) with 7.23 points.

Johannes zu Lage's nameless Hanoverian colt by Vivaldi x Rubin Royal x Weltmeyer) and the Trakehner Sir Picasso (by Distelzar) just made it by the skin of his teeth with 7.50 and 7.58 points. Same goes for Jan Pieter Dalsem's Trakehner bred 3-year old full brother to Kaiser Milton  (by Millennium x Van Deyk) with 7.55 points.
